Hearing the Word of God and applying it to one’s life is transformation. When the Lord saved me in 1973 I was so excited to tell everyone my testimony with every opportunity, it did not matter, whether family, friends, coworkers or strangers. I was excited because the transformation that had taken place in my life was too good to keep to myself! My salvation is a confirmation that God is real, and only He, not man could do the miracle of transforming me! This is why even at this present time I have no regrets for my decision to give my life to Jesus and allow Him to use me. My life was so empty and I was carrying burdens that were too heavy for me. When I prayed that simple prayer asking Jesus into my heart, I became a new person on the inside and was free from my past sins and mistakes, He gave me a new life!

Psalms 78:1-7 lists several great examples of God’s goodness through His Word. It’s a pattern we should all follow in reference to proclaiming God’s Word to the generations, how the Word can transform any life. It reads, “Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord , and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:”

Hearing The Word: Listening to the Word of God through the instruction of our parents, preachers, or teachers who have a relationship with Father God is a great source for learnng of God. He will use these individuals speaking through them His Words of wisdom to plant seeds of truth into their children’s spirit that will one day bloom.

Through The Bible: Keep your Bible visible and use it as your guide for teaching testimonies of God’s faithfulness from genereation to generation Let your children know that God’s promises and faithfulness are available to them today just as it was from past generations. Let them know He is not a partial God, He is a God of love. Let them know God’s Word will get them through the trials of life victoriously – the world’s wisdom will never fulfill their heart’s needs.

Tell Of His Hope: Teach your loved one’s “true hope” that is found only in God! The temptations of this world are only temporal, they will never bring them hope that sustains for a lifetime. Teaching them the Word of God gives hope and strength that will take them through any of life’s struggle. Let your own life be a “living” example of God’s goodness. Remember, with children” more is caught, than taught!”

It is our responsibility as Believers to pass on the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as sharing our testimony with others, especially our family, so that they can be transformed by God’s love and God’s power. The Bible tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 KJV). Remember you were young and rebellious at one time, but look where you are now – loving and serving the Lord. So, keep God’s commandment and train up your children, grandchildren, or whosoever Father God puts in your charge so that Proverbs 22:6 will “bloom” in their hearts with lasting transformation.
