I was asked by a client, “why is it so important to read the Bible?” Good question, I replied! So, let’s take a journey into the Bible together to discover the answer!
To begin our journey, I asked her, “Who created you, or how do you think you came into existence?”
She answered, “God created me.” I asked, “if God created you, that means He is your creator, right?” Yes,” she replied.” OK! So when a person creates something do they not write a manual with instructions for operating the product. “Of course,” She responded. “I wouldn’t buy a product without instructions,” she replied.
Using a study Bible, we reviewed some of the summary pages of various books in the Bible. We learned:
*God is creator of all that exists in this world, including mankind, animal life sea life, the solar system, etc. All that exists is because of God.
*God created marriage / family life.
*Sin entered into the world through disobedience.
*God had a plan to rescue fallen man from their dilemma.
The Bible is not only about creation, it is also about:
*God’s love for mankind.
*God’s plan to redeem mankind.
*God’s prophetic messages to the world about His Son, Jesus, coming to this world to redeem the lost.
*God’s judgment and wrath on the wicked and those who reject His Son, Jesus.
*God’s promises to those who receive His Son, Jesus.
*God’s promise to restore the earth, eliminating all sin and evil.
*God’s promise of eternity life for those who receive His Son, Jesus.
*God disciplines His children (Believers) and fights their battles.
*God’s instructions to Believers (those who receive Jesus) how to live a victorious and abundant life.
*God’s messages of promises and hope to His children of divine provision, protection, love, security, and significant in His kingdom.
*God accepts us as His Children and we are to call Him FATHER.
I shared with my client that the Bible is the only Book in the world that is “alive” and “active” and that we can believe on God’s promised to be fulfilled in our lives. The Bible is rich with many gems making the reading Believer wealthy and victorious! As Believers live their lives from the truths found in the Bible, they will be transformed from this world’s thinking to Christ-like thinking.
My client, now reads her Bible daily. Her life has been transformed! The Word of God has taught her to cast away negative thinking and how to be more positive in her thoughts and actions. Plus, she now walks by faith and not fear.

The Bible, God’s breathed Word, has been tried and proved by millions. We can read many recorded experiences of men and women in the Bible who have tried and proved God’s Word and have lived victorious!
