My Morning Prayer

Good Morning LORD,

I want to take this time to thank you for another new day. I know you watched over me, my family and friends as we slept last night, protecting us from the enemy of darkness.  My sleep was restful and sweet  that I thank you for also.

LORD, as I lay here thinking of You, I praise You for your goodness in my life and the lives of all your children. I thank you for Your Word which is more precious than any gift I will ever receive. Your Word I speak before I sleep at night and it’s Your Word I speak upon awakening each morning. Your Word brings me comfort and healing.  Your Word is my spiritual food I need each morning, it sustains me and keeps me on the right path.  It’s Your Word that blossoms me each day.  It’s the truth of Your Word that keeps me from the evils of this present world.

Your Word I am so thankful for because it’s Your Word that guides me and directs me each day. Today LORD, I affirm Your Word Psalm 27:1-2 over my life. “Lord you are my light and salvation because of this I will not fear anyone or anything. I look to you for my help and depend upon your strength for my life and I shall not be afraid of anyone or anything. You are my strength and you will destroy all my enemies and opponents that come against me. Lord I thank you for your strength and salvation which gives me victory each and every day.”

LORD, today I choose not to trust in my feelings, rather, I choose to look to you for guidance and direction for my life.  LORD GOD, please watch over my husband, my children, my friends and family today guiding them in your truth.  Protect and watch over my husband, children, family and friends (including my Blogger friends) as they go about their day either homebound or traveling.

LORD, thank you again for the gift of another day, especially knowing you are still in control.  In Jesus Name I pray this prayer.  Amen.
