Is the Bible applicable for today? Can we learn anything from the Bible that will help in today’s culture?
With laws changing day-by-day it can be very confusing as to whether the Bible is applicable for today’s generation. So, guess what? I learned some very valuable information from the Bible, that will answer these questions! Are you ready for this exciting news? The scriptures below tell us something very different.
1. “Your word, LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens” (Psalm 119:89).
2. “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever” (Isaiah 40:8).
3. “I the Lord do not change” (Malachi 3:6).
4. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35).
What does this mean for our generation? Are we to follow God’s Word or the world? Although laws and circumstances change, God’s Word stands for ever even in our generation and every generation into eternity.
We are to continue studying God’s Word for knowledge so we can live life successfully and victoriously (Hosea 4:6). If we don’t know God’s word, which never changes, we can become easily deceived. God told Joshua to:
- study His Word
- meditate on His Word
- obey His Word.
Why did God instruct Joshua to do so? Because the Word would make his way prosperous (Joshua 1:8).
When we study God’s Word, we will discover that is has supernatural power to transform the student and to perform what it has promised to do! How awesome!
The question is, do we want to live a prosperous life? Do we want to grow and mature in the LORD? Have you discovered the answer yet? It’s studying and doing God’s word that activates abundance in our lives.
We are currently living in troubled time! God’s Word teaches us not to fear any evil tidings we hear or encounter in this world, because those who trust in God’s Word can relax and rest.
