Contrary to what some think, yes, healing is available today for God’s children. Sickness is not a blessing, it’s a curse, and it is not God’s will for His children to be sick with physical illness, emotional illness, mental illness, etc. God’s Word tells us that sickness is a curse of the Law (Deut. 28:15, 61). When Jesus Christ died on the Cross, He destroyed the curse of the law, which included sickness and infirmities (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16-17).
Healing, like salvation is available to all that by “faith” believe. Believe by faith that God’s Word accomplishes what He purposes it to do. God’s Word is medicine to the soul. The Word of God is life and when we speak His Word over our illness, problems, infirmities, etc. and believe His Word to be Truth, we will receive what we ask of God.
To develop the faith needed to know what God’s Word says about healing, we need to seek God in prayer and study His Word. Until we know what God’s will is, there is nothing on which to base our faith. It is important to know that our mind must be in harmony with the mind of God. The right mental attitude, or the “renewed” mind makes a steadfast faith possible to all who believe in divine healing (Romans 12:2). If you continue to talk doubt and unbelief, God’s Word won’t work for you. Hearing God’s Word and acting on it is “faith.”
The Bible tells us there is no Word of God without power. Psalm 107:20 tells us “He sent His Word, and healed them.” All we have to do is firmly believe what the Word says about healing. We need to refuse to believe anything that contradicts the Word. We are to take sides with God and believe that all we need for our spirit, soul, and body is already ours. We need to have the attitude “if God says it, I believe it.”
When asking God for healing, do not be double-minded. The Book of James tells us, “but let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”
Does God heal today, yes. Healing is received by acting on faith. “Believe and you shall receive.”

Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Matthew 8:16-17 “When evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill. This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: “HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND CARRIED AWAY OUR DISEASES.”
Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”
