Not too long ago, I listened to a woman being interviewed about the fears of the pandemic. She was asked “do you believe in heaven and hell.” She answered, “yes.” She was then asked “where do you think you will spend eternity, heaven or hell?” She replied “not sure, I guess I will have to take my chances on that.” How sad! Not knowing where you will spend eternity! People not knowing the promises of God are left without hope, fear and uncertainty! The hope they lack is the word of God!
Jeremiah tells us why individuals are lacking hope! People have abandoned the “Ancient Paths.” What is the “Ancient Path? It is the precious Word of God. We have cast aside His Word for man’s science, philosophy, self-sufficiency, government and anything except the word of God. Because of this sin, our land, our homes, finances, etc., have become desolate or lacking.
Psalm 119:9 gives us the solution for hope! It reads “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his ways? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.” Our only hope in a world that has gone astray is found only in the word of God. We need to return to the “Ancient Paths.” The word has the answer to ALL of life problems. God’s commandments and statutes if obeyed will bring victory and prosperity into our lives.
Deuteronomy 6:7–9 tells we knowing God’s commandments and statutes will bless the doer with God’s help, peace and rest. We also learn from the Word of God that:
*The word has a promise for every day of the week.
*The word has healing for our infirmities.
*The word has Deliverance for those Bound by bad Habits.
*The Word brings life where there is Darkness.
*The Bible is the word of God and it is God’s will.
*It is the good news of Jesus Christ.
*The word is seeds for salvation (eternal life) to the reader.
*The word can transform our old mindset.
A life void of the Word of God is one of hopelessness and the abundant life offered by Jesus. A life void of the Word of God is a life of discontentment! Don’t you want a life that is shining so bright that it points others to the saving grace of Christ Jesus? Well, you can! Return to the Ancient Paths! The Ancient Paths has everything we need for a prosperous and victorious life that is filled with hope, joy, peace and contentment. Friends, don’t let your light stay dim, return to the “Ancient Paths” it is life, and when you return with your whole heart, Father God will heal your desolate lands.
