God Is My Defense and Provider

And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Going through any type of adversary can be very challenging mentally and physically, especially when going through it alone.  My years as a single parent had me going through many adversaries with problems at my place of employment, struggles raising my children, health problems and should I mention money problems was added into the mix also.

When I look back at the years of my single parenthood, I can truly say Deuteronomy 31:8 was made real in my life.  To be honest, I experienced fear of the unknown, such as how will I make it through all these hardships of prejudice on the job, raising my children with Godly values, and what would happen to my health after an accident I had, etc.  With each adversary, as I put my trust in Father God, I learned that He had already gone ahead of me preparing a plan of escape for me.  When each solution to my problem manifested itself in my life, I would be totally blown away with gratitude to Father God for making a way for me and for providing for me.

The greatest lesson I learned through it all was Father God is faithful.   When He says “I will not fail thee, neither forsake thee,” He means it.  Today, I am a living testimony of the goodness of God.  Whenever I look back at my life, I am still totally amazed at how Father God rescued me from every adversary that came my way.  And, with each adversary I learned to replace my fears with faith to trust Father God in every situation in life.

If you are going through a tough time right now, I encourage to read Deuteronomy 31:8 and speak it over your life, then believe in your heart that Father God is your defense and provider.  Even when we aren’t aware of God’s presence, He is there waiting for us to include Him into our life’s struggles.
